Daikin Altherma System
Instead of burning fuel as do conventional fossil fuel boilers, heat pumps extract the latent heat energy present in the air.The air to water system is capable of extracting sufficent heat from the outside air to comfortably heat a home, even on the coldest days of winter.
Heat pumps work on a well established principle known as vapour compression or refrigerator cycle. They work in much th same way as the common refrigerator, a technology already used in every household, but in reverse. The air to water heat pump from Daikin extracts renewable heat from the outside air. The system consists of a closed circuit containing refrigerant.
A thermodynamic cycle is created through evaporation, condensation, compression and expansion. A heat pump 'pumps' heat from a low to a high temperature level. The heat is then transferred via a heat exchanger to the hot water heating system (under floor heating, radiators or fan convectors), and to the hot water cylinder in the home. For every 1KW of electrical input Daikin Altherma will deliver between 3 to 5KW of usable heat.
One of the most succesful systems available is the Altherma by Daikin .Air Conditioning Scotland are a recognised installer with Daikin Altherma, for more information on this product please click on the link below.

| Earth Save Products |
Earth Save Products Ltd are also at the forefront of Air Sourced Heat Pump technology. All of their unit range complies with the relevant European standards, including EN14511; both in terms of operating efficiency and manufacturing process. The units are extremely efficient and have an excellent COP even when ambient temperatures are very low.
All component parts of the units are from reputable manufacturers such as Danfoss,Wilo,Copland, Hitachi and Chiller 300 who have been leaders in the industry for many years thus offering guaranteed reliability.

| Ecovector Radiators |
These type of radiators are designed to run with low temperature water in the heating system, which enables them to have a greater efficiency than standard radiators. They have a similar performance to that of underfloor heating which makes them an excellent choice for retro and new build installations.
